The Witcher 3, Ori und Her Story räumen bei den GDC Awards ab

The Witcher 3, Ori and the Blind Forest und Her Story sind die großen Abräumer bei den Game Developers Choice Awards, die heute Nacht vergeben wurden. Alle drei Titel gewannen gleich mehrere Preise.

Die Gewinner der Game Developers Choice Awards stehen fest. Auch hier ist The Witcher 3: Wilde Jagd zum Spiel des Jahres gewählt worden. Ori and the Blind Forest ist unter anderem das beste Debüt des Jahres gewesen und Her Story hatte die beste Geschichte. Alle drei Titel wurden mehrfach ausgezeichnet.

Daneben haben auch Rocket League und Crypt of the NecroDancer je einen Award eingesammelt: Rocket League für das beste Design, Crypt of the NecroDancer für das beste Audiodesign. Life is Strange hat den Publikumspreis gewonnen, hier waren alle Nominierten der GDC-Awards nominiert.

Außerdem wurde Todd Howard, der Game Director von Fallout 4 , für sein Lebenswerk ausgezeichnet. Minecraft -Erfinder Markus "Notch" Persson erhielt hingegen den Pioneer Award, während sich Game Designerin Tracy Fullerton  über den Ambassador-Award freuen durfte.
